Privacy Policy

SideDeck Pro is built to keep your research on your own machine. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your data.

What SideDeck Pro stores

When you clip text or an image, SideDeck Pro saves the following locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage.local API:

• the text or image URL you clipped,
• the source page’s URL and title (so the clip can be cited),
• the time you saved it,
• any notes you add, and
• the boards you create and assign clips to.

That data stays in your browser. It is not sent to us or to any server, and there is no SideDeck account to sign into.

What SideDeck Pro does not do

• It does not run analytics or telemetry.
• It does not track your browsing history.
• It does not read page content except the specific text or image you choose to clip.
• It does not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.

Payments

Premium is a one-time purchase handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you choose to upgrade, the checkout happens on ExtensionPay’s hosted page and payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s systems and are never seen by, or sent to, SideDeck Pro. We receive only a confirmation that your installation is “paid” so the extension can unlock Premium features.

Permissions and why they are needed

• Side panel: to show the SideDeck panel in Chrome’s sidebar.
• Context menus: to add the right-click “Send to SideDeck” command.
• Storage: to save your clips, notes, and boards locally.
• activeTab: to read the current tab’s URL and title at the moment you clip, so the clip can link back to its source.
• Access to extensionpay.com: used only by ExtensionPay to complete a Premium purchase.

Keeping or deleting your data

Your clips live only in your browser profile. To delete everything, remove the extension or clear its storage from chrome://extensions. Uninstalling removes all locally stored clips, notes, and boards.

Children

SideDeck Pro is a general-purpose research tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change and the new version will be posted at this page.
